Looking closer I see a baby Kildee (or kildeer) chick.
He ran really fast with really long legs but I had him cornered by the porch so we had a photo shoot.
Check out the legs and the fuzzy wings. I am not sure where the nest is but he probably lives close. We hear his mama all the time!
He is pretty cute though. Guessing he's male but I don't have any sort of real knowledge to say what he is.
He looks like he's smiling here!
