Working on a blessing ensemble for W.
Here is a sneak peek showing the smocking panel.

I made the tiny piping with a cord and bias strips of lt. aqua birds eye cotton.
The white striped pique cotton fabric is gorgeous.
I purchased the fabrics from
Farm House Fabrics.
I definitely recommend them. Lovely quality, worth the money!

OOh I love it!
Thank you!
I had a hard time deciding what to do for a boy. I was tempted to sew him a gown but I have sewn 3 gowns for the girls and I knew a plain gown wouldn't satisfy me. So this idea with smocking yet still being on the boy style works for me. Plus I bought the prettiest fabric ever! It is smoother and more luxurious than any I used for the girls so it makes up for the fact that there is no lace and no skirt.
I have a great nephew coming this summer and have a hard time finding pretty boy smocking items. Yours is gorgeous.
