This is the Before Light switch.
I thought I should change it up!
So I bought a wooden plate cover that I could make over!
Painted it white.
Drew an idea then I pencil sketched it on.
Painted the sky
Then painted the leaves. Then the wings.
Then the skin, hair, and flowers.
When the paint was dry I added details with a pen.
To make sure the plate is not dull or the somewhat protect it I like to put on a top coat.
This top coat has glitter in it! Fairies need to sparkle!
drying
Here it is on the wall! Hurray!
Hopefully the girls will enjoy it!

That's so cut d-lyn!
I love this!!! It is really awesome! your illustration looks really awesome!
so cute dlyn! i think you should paint the switches white as there is already paint on them anyway. use spray paint and it will come out better.
Actually I am going to spray paint the switches.
Thanks you guys! I was inspired by the flower fairy illustrator Cicely Mary Barker. I love her fairies!
This is an ingenious idea! The fairies are so darling. Sometimes I wish my girls were a little more girly in their decorating taste. I kinda get sick of horses and cowgirls.
Thanks for leaving your kind comment on my rain and puddles post. I had to laugh about being added to your blog list. I've secretly been reading your blog on my Google Reader for a couple of months. Pretty bad I haven't really stopped to comment.
I made it to step 2, the rest is beyond my skill level! You have some lucky girls!
Thanks Andrea
but... I saw your boys room pics and I know you could give it a go with your own color scheme and it would be awesome!
here is her awesome painting!

WOW!~ That is BEAUTIFUL! I wish I could do that! That's really amazing!
You are so talented! L is a luck guy to have such a resourceful wife.
I love this! Sell them...seriously. It is so cute. I'm going to try it, unless you make a cool vintage bunny flowery spring kinda one for sale first, then I'll just buy yours.
